The Amakhosi legend has explained how the club plans to shake up things
Kaizer Chiefs legend Doctor Khumalo says he has reliable information that the Glamour Boys will send six players out on loan.
Chiefs are currently in pre-season in Turley where they have played three friendly matches, winning the last 5-2 against newly-promoted Qatari side Al Shahaniya SC.
New coach Nasreddine Nabi has been overseeing the training and it seems he has come to the conclusion that some of the players do not have an immediate future at the club.
“The information that I got is the new technical team, they really want to work with youth,” Khumalo told SoccerZone on Monday.
Two of the Chiefs players set to be loaned are nursing injuries
“And also, I’ve seen the names of the players that they’ve asked them [management] to loan them, six of them – the players it’s not my duty to mention them here – but six of the players the coach asked if they can loan them out.”
Khumalo then gave a hint of the identity of the players the club intends to loan out.
“Two of them are nursing injuries at the moment. They didn’t travel to Turkey, because they’re injured,” he added.
“What I know is that, Kaizer Chiefs’ move to secure these coaches, I can see a lot of difference. I can tell, these boys, now they are being challenged.”
Four Amakhosi stars did not travel to Turkey due to injuries
Tebogo Potsane, Dillan Solomons, George Matlou and Mduduzi Mdantsane are the Chiefs players who did not travel to Turkey due to injuries while defender Edmilson Dove and new signing Bongani Sam were in Turkey when they got injured before returning to South Africa.
Besides Sam, Chiefs have also signed goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari and defender Rushwin Dortley who did not travel to Turkey.
The Glamour Boys are looking for a return to the top of South African football under Nabi and are likely to back his decisions in their bid to achieve success.
