Amakhosi have a specific profile that coach Nasreddine Nabi is searching for in a forward
Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly looking for a striker who operates within the box.
The Glamour Boys are in the market for a new forward and according to KickOff, new coach Nasreddine Nabi wants a target man rather than a running striker.
That is why the club has been tracking Congolese Fiston Mayele although a deal for the Pyramids attacker looks far from being agreed as Amakhosi have not met the asking price which appears to be beyond their budget.

Why did Kaizer Chiefs reject ‘best striker in Africa’?
Chiefs appear to have turned their attentions to other targets with Yanga forward Clement Mzize, who also worked under Nabi and was second choice to Mayele at the Tanzanian giants, believed to be in their sights.
Nabi wants a striker who is comfortable operating in the box as opposed to a running one in the mold of Christian Saile, whose future at Naturena has been a subject of discussion.
It is reportedly the reason the club turned down Togolese forward Yawo Agbagno of Algerian club ASO Chlef when he was offered to them by prominent agent Mike Makaab.
“The striker I offered Chiefs in my opinion is the best striker on the African continent,” Makaab told Gagasi FM.

Fiston Mayele looks out of reach for Amakhosi
“Chiefs have every reason to decline. They don’t believe that the striker is the type of striker the coach is looking for. It’s one thing to say the striker is a good player. It is another thing where that striker and the style of play suits what the coach wants to implement at the club and I absolutely respect that.”
Nabi weighed in on the situation with Mayele during a recent interview with OnTimeSports.
“He’s like family to me; we worked well together [at Young Africans]. But he has a contract with Pyramids, and he’s not available. We respect that and have not engaged in any negotiations,” said Nabi.
