The hosts have dropped erratic goalkeeper Veli Mothwa but former Orlando Pirates shot-stopper  Richard Ofori has not made the squad.

Tickets for the highly anticipated Betway Premiership clash between AmaZulu and Kaizer Chiefs have been sold out, the Premier Soccer League announced just an hour before the 7pm kickoff set to take place at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Kaizer Chiefs kicked off their 2024-25 league campaign with a 2-1 away win over Marumo Gallants. Mduduzi Shabalala and Mfundo Vilakazi scored for Chiefs, in a come-from-behind victory.

AmaZulu were defeated 2-1 away from home by Polokwane City in their opening league match. Etiosa Ighodaro on the scoresheet for AmaZulu, initially putting them ahead in the game.

Usuthu hosts Amakhosi at Moses Mabhida Stadium in what will be their 45th league meeting since the 1996-97 season.  

The Glamour Boys have won 26 of the previous 44 league matches between the sides in the PSL era, while Usuthu has won 5 and 13 games have been drawn.
