Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Junior has rubbished the narrative that some Premier Soccer League teams are sabotaging their quest to rebuild the team.
The Glamour Boys have gone for a decade without winning silverware and have been desperate to get quality players. The most recent case is that of Polokwane City's Oswin Appollis
The Bafana Bafana international wanted to join the Glamour Boys from Rise and Shine but the chairman Johnny Mogaladi was elusive. Elias Mokwana and Khanyisa Mayo are the other players Amakhosi have failed to sign in the recent past.

In the ongoing transfer window, Chiefs haven't signed any players, but Motaung Jr. insists all teams have their targets and sabotage claims are misplaced.
‘It is part of industry, part of business'
“To be fair, I don’t even entertain that; we’re here all the other clubs are our partners. We are stakeholders in the league. We need each other. They need us. We need them. And it’s a situation of us coming to negotiations,” Motaung stated.
“They always will have their own standpoint. They want to keep their best players. If you had to ask me, anybody coming to ask, you know, ‘sell us Shabalala’, I would say, No.

“It’s part of negotiations. It’s part of the industry. It’s part of the business. They have their goals they want to achieve. We have ours. So it’s about us engaging in a positive way and trying your best you can to achieve the goals.
“So we respect them and they respect us and it’s part of the industry, and you find that, you know, worldwide.”
