Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Lifa Gqosha has expressed his disapproval of Amakhosi's pursuit of Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Thembinkosi Lorch.
Lorch has struggled for consistent game time at Sundowns since joining the club midway through the 2023/24 season.
While he enjoyed some playing time under coach Rulani Mokwena, his opportunities have been limited under Manqoba Mngqithi and Miguel Cardoso.
With Chiefs reportedly interested in acquiring his services, Gqosha believes that the club appears to be shifting towards signing older players, considering Lorch's age.
Lorch is 31 years old, and his peak performance period may have passed.

EX-CHIEFS UNHAPPY ABOUT LORCH’S RUMOURS
“Are we becoming a retirement village? It feels like we are turning into an old age home,” notes the former defender, speaking to Kickoff.com.
“Is it possible to build a team with players who are 30 years old and above? I understand the need for experience, but are they not satisfied with the experienced players they already have?
“When building a team, you must invest in youngsters. I'm not questioning Lorch's abilities, but at his age, how long can he maintain his form?”
He added: “As a player myself, I would take advantage of such opportunities because it is a chance to earn money. Yet, at the same time, there may be a strong desire to play and prove critics wrong, which complicates the situation.
“Ultimately, I don't believe that such a signing would help solve Kaizer Chiefs' problems. For me, it's a definite ‘no'”
