TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic was left delighted after his team defied the odds to beat the defending Premier Soccer League champions Mamelodi Sundowns by a solitary goal on Tuesday night at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
A 44th minute strike by Kamogelo Sebelebele was all the hosts needed to seal maximum points and move fourth on the table. The Rockets have played 17 games and managed to record six wins, seven draws and four losses.
It is a remarkable rise to Galaxy who struggled at the start of the season after selling their best players. Sead Ramovic also left and Adnan Beganovic took his place. The latter couldn't hide his excitement after the massive win.
‘I am so proud! Credit to the players' – Beganovic

“The feeling is beautiful, winning against Sundowns, you can't say everyday you've won against Sundowns, so many good players,” the 41-year-old said in his post-match interview.
“But I'm so proud of my team, how we played tactically and how we played games in February, how we look physically. I'm so proud, all credit to the players. We need to enjoy because what we did in the last three months is unbelievable. I'm so happy, I don't know what to say,” Beganovic concluded.
Meanwhile, coach Miguel Cardoso believes his team deserved something from the game, “We dominated the first half, but Galaxy defended well. After half-time we ran out of energy. Now we must look forward to our next match and work harder. We will rise even stronger after this setback.”
The next game for the two teams will be in the Nedbank Cup; TS Galaxy will be away playing Durban City while Sundowns will be hosting Mpheni Home Defenders.
