South Africa legend Benni McCarthy is reportedly a target for Premier Soccer League champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The tactician is currently a free agent after Manchester United opted against renewing his contract as the strikers' coach. The South African served under manager Erik Ten Hag for two years before Ruud van Nistelrooy replaced him at the beginning of the ongoing campaign.
Masandawana made changes in their technical team; they parted ways with Rhulani Mokwena before promoting Manqoba Mngqithi, but speculations have it that the management want the former Orlando Pirates striker at the top.

Disrespect to Mngqithi?

Benni McCarthy to Sundowns, now that’s a twist I didn’t see coming. It makes sense why he is back in the country – Tom Lukhiz

McCarthy's attitude of fighting with match officials is not good for Sundowns, hell no! – Hill Culture Fitzgerald
