The 2024/25 Betway Premiership fixtures have been released, with Mamelodi Sundowns kicking off their title defence against SuperSport United. Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs have also learned their opening league opponents.
The PSL this week confirmed Betway as its new league sponsor, ending a four-year partnership with DStv Premiership.
Betway injected around R900 million into the PSL’s coffers through a three-year deal.
2024/25 PSL SEASON TO COMMENCE WITH MTN8
While the league will commence on 14 September this year, the PSL season starts on 3 August with MTN 8 quarter-finals.
Pirates will welcome SuperSport on 3 August at Orlando Stadium while Stellenbosch FC host TS Galaxy the following day.
The next weekend will see Sekhukhune United lock horns with Cape Town City at New Peter Mokaba Stadium on 10 August while Mamelodi Sundowns take on Polokwane City at Lucas Moripe Stadium on 11 August.
CAF competitions preliminary rounds will then take place on the weekend of 16 to 18 August (first legs) and 23 to 25 (second legs).
Meanwhile, the MTN semifinals (both first and second legs) will be played on 21st, 24th, 28th and 31st of August.
Thereafter, there will be FIFA international break between 2 and 11 September.
Betway Premiership will then kick off on 14 September with Sundowns and SuperSport facing off at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Later on the day, the Buccaneers will begin their campaign with Chippa United at Orlando Stadium while Kaizer Chiefs visit Marumo Gallants at the Free State Toyota Stadium.
