The PSL has entered a crucial phase where key positions are being contested as it will determine what each team gets at the end of the season.
It is supposed to be match week 23 but only five teams have so far played 22 matches being leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, TS Galaxy, AmaZulu, Cape Town City and Magesi FC, while the rest have games in hand, Orlando Pirates and Golden Arrows with the most, being four each.
However, the title race is already shaping up with Sundowns looking to have run away with it again with second place also looking likely to go to Pirates for a third straight year but third is up for grabs as well as the top eight with relegation far from decided.
Afrik-Foot gives you the game-by-game guide for the next round of PSL fixtures.

AmaZulu vs TS Galaxy (19.30)

Two teams with the ambitions of finishing in the top three, both AmaZulu and TS Galaxy are coming from defeats and will like to get it right on Friday.
It will be the second time they are meeting this season, with Galaxy having secured a 1-0 win last December, and also have a good record over Usuthu, winning four of their last five meetings.
Galaxy are in fifth place with 32 points while AmaZulu have 30 in seventh place and both will go all out for the win.
Prediction: AmaZulu 2-2 TS Galaxy
SATURDAY, 15 MARCH, 2025
Magesi vs Golden Arrows (15.30)

Golden Arrows have been on the up since the return of Manqoba Mngqithi, who has recorded a draw and win in his first two matches, and will feel relegation-threatened Magesi are good candidates for a second straight victory.
Magesi also won their last match, beating Richards Bay 1-0, but will likely find it tough against Arrows even though they are at home.
Prediction: Magesi 0-2 Golden Arrows
Cape Town City vs Marumo Gallants (15.30)

Cape Town City and Marumo Gallants are both going through a tough season, the Citizens in 10th place and not tasted victory in nine matches, while Gallants are second from bottom after just five wins in 21 matches this season.
Both are struggling to score and this a match that will likely yield a stalemate.
Prediction: Cape Town City 0-0 Marumo Gallants
Chippa United vs Polokwane City (20.00)

Like Cape Town City, Chippa United are the other team in unfamiliar territory after the highs of last season as they are 11th on the log.
They face a Polokwane City team equally struggling, having not won any of their last seven matches, and have slipped to sixth position from third in late 2024, meaning it is anyone’s game on Saturday.
Prediction: Chippa United 1-1 Polokwane City
SATURDAY, 16 MARCH, 2025
Orlando Pirates vs Mamelodi Sundowns (15.30)

This is the biggest game of the week, and perhaps of the season, as it does not only involve the top two in the PSL but will likely determine the destiny of the league title.
Pirates and Sundowns meet just three weeks since the Brazilians secured a 4-1 win in February and few will bet against them completing a double over Jose Riveiro’s team to extend their lead to 21 points and extinguish the Buccaneers’ slim title hopes.
Prediction: Orlando Pirates 1-2 Mamelodi Sundowns
Richards Bay vs Kaizer Chiefs (15.30)

It is difficult to know what to expect from Kaizer Chiefs these days and even against the small boys in the PSL, Amakhosi still get beaten or fail to score.
Richards Bay are their next opponents and after a goalless draw against Cape Town City in midweek, pressure is on Nasreddine Nabi’s team to bounce back against a side that has lost just one of their last five.
Prediction: Richards Bay 1-2 Kaizer Chiefs
Sekhukhune United vs Stellenbosch (17.45)

Sekhukhune United and Stellenbosch FC are separated by just two points, Babina Noko in third place on 34 while Steve Barker’s men have 32 in fourth with both sides angling for a CAF Confederation Cup slot.
It will be a tough game that will be separated by very fine margins and could also end in a stalemate.
Prediction: Sekhukhune United 1-1 Stellenbosch
