Burnley FC manager Scott Parker has explained why Bafana Bafana star Lyle Foster was nowhere to be seen during their match against Leeds United on Saturday.
The Clarets secured a 1-0 away victory, marking their third win of the season as they strive for a return to the Barclays Premier League.
The sole goal of the match was netted by winger Luca Keolosho.
In his post-match comments, Parker disclosed that Foster had returned from the international break suffering from flu. He further noted that the team opted to rest him after an extensive 20-hour journey from Africa.

BURNLEY COACH ON WHY FOSTER DIDN’T PLAY AGAINST LEEDS
“He came back ill from the international break,” Parker said, as per Burnley Express.
“He came in on Friday after literally 20 hours of flying. He came back with a virus so there wasn't really any point of risking him.
“Also, the likelihood is, with the dynamics of the international break as it is, Flemming had been with us for the last 10 days so were able to get through some work there so we didn't feel it was right to risk him.”
In Foster’s absence, Burnley played their new signing Zian Flemming who had been training with the team while some players, including Foster, had international duties.
Foster's most recent appearance for Burnley was in a match against Blackburn Rovers, where he netted a goal in a 1-1 stalemate.
Throughout his participation in four Championship matches, he has recorded one goal and one assist.
Additionally, he found the back of the net for Bafana in the AFCON qualifier against Uganda at Orlando Stadium the week before last.
