Published on by

Magesi FC stunned Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Knockout Cup final beating them 2-1 at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.

Larsen etched his name in history, claiming his second League Cup final victory over Sundowns. In 2012, he orchestrated Bloemfontein Celtic's 1-0 triumph, with Joel Mogorosi's goal at the Moses Mabhida Stadium sealing the deal.

Sundowns opened the scoring through Iqraam Rayners in the first half. However, Magesi mounted a second-half comeback, with Tshepo Kakora and Delano Abrahams scoring to secure a 2-1 victory.
