Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma is convinced the Soweto giants are better placed to end their nine-season trophy drought.
After finishing in an embarrassing 10th position in the Premier Soccer League last season, Amakhosi management promised to make some changes to their team. True to their word, they tried to get a few quality players, but despite missing some primary targets, they introduced seven new faces.
In the three Premier Soccer League matches played Chiefs have managed to collect six points from two matches.
The Glamour Boys have shown hunger and determination in the matches played, something that was missed in recent campaigns.
Well, winning the league might be asking too much from Chiefs, but they can have a say in the Carling Knockout and the Nedbank Cup. Goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma is convinced the Soweto giants will win a trophy this season under coach Nasreddine Nabi.
Chiefs will win two trophies – Bvuma

“We grew up watching Chiefs winning trophies every season and I’ve been here for eight seasons now and we haven’t won anything,” the 29-year-old told the media.
“I believe that with the way we are playing now, we are going to change this trophy drought. I believe we are going to change it. We are going to get a trophy or two this season.
“So, things are looking well and they are definitely going to change.”
Nabi is concerned that the rhythm of his team will be slowed down following the long break after his players had started implementing his philosophy through their exciting playing style.
Chiefs have, however, lined up a number of friendly matches behind closed doors to keep the players who were not called up to their national teams in shape.
