Amakhosi could be handed a major advantage in their pursuit of the Bafana Bafana winger
Kaizer Chiefs could be handed a massive boost following reports that winger Oswin Appollis, who has been linked with the club, could miss out on a transfer to Algeria.
The Polokwane City attacker has been the subject of interest from Algerian side MC Alger, with his parent club resigned to losing him, but just a few hours before the Algerian transfer window closes on Tuesday, a deal has not been agreed.
SABC has reported that Polokwane and MC Alger are yet to finalise terms over the transfer of the winger despite coach Phuti Mohafe confirming last week that a deal was imminent.

Can Chiefs take advantage of Appollis’ woes to sign him?
It leaves Appollis’ future uncertain as he was keen on a move to Algeria, having reportedly agreed personal terms, but it could open up an opportunity for Chiefs who are in the market for a winger.
Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi, whose club has already signed seven players, said last week his transfer business is not over until he ropes in a striker and a winger.
Appollis is among wingers who Chiefs are looking at and if the move to Algeria collapses, they could swop for him, to cure their problems in attack.

The winger is part of the Bafana Bafana squad in South Sudan
What is working in Chiefs’ favour is that while the Algerians are in a race against time, Amakhosi have until September 20 to complete their business as it is when the transfer window in South Africa will close.
Appollis is currently on international duty with Bafana Bafana, who face South Sudan on Tuesday, and it is not known how he will complete a medical if a deal between Polokwane and MC Alger was to be struck.
