Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has clarified that he is not looking for another striker but rather his team missed their two forwards during their loss to Richards Bay on Sunday.
Chiefs suffered a shock 2-0 loss away to Richards Bay, when the hosts frustrated them with a low block that his side struggled to penetrate.
After a goalless first half, Richards Bay scored twice in the second half to kill off any hopes of a Chiefs comeback with the Glamour Boys failing to win their second straight league match to continue their inconsistent season.
What did coach Nabi really mean?

After the match, Nabi appeared to suggest that their struggles were down to a lack of a striker at the club but he has now clarified that he was lamenting the absence of Tashreeq Morris and Ranga Chivaviro.
“I didn’t say I’m looking for a number nine, I said we were lacking physicality and height in the number nine position,” said Nabi as quoted by iDiski Times.
“And we feel that probably with the absence of Morris or Ranga maybe it could have helped. But it doesn’t mean that the number nine could have resolved all the issues because we should have been more dangerous in the last 18.
Chiefs’ woes far from over

“We should have had more shots against a low block. I think the answer to that question will come after the end of the season after having assessed the squad and what it needs.”
Nabi had been crying out for a striker before the club brought in Morris from SuperSport United although it is believed he is still on the lookout for another centre forward.
The tactician’s style of play has, however, continued to be exposed even after the signing of Morris, with opponents opting to stay tight at the back and hitting them on the break, or utilising set-pieces against the Soweto giants who struggle to defend them despite having some big men in the side
