Chiefs get advance warning from Free Agents – ‘One heart, two lungs just like David vs Goliath’

Free Agents coach Olaitan Oladeru insists there is nothing that will stop them from going full force against Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32.

The third-tier outfit, which was established in 2018, are hoping to cause an upset by eliminating the Glamour Boys from the annual competition. Oladeru, who is the owner of the club, concedes his team comes into the match as underdogs but it takes nothing away from their will to fight.

He argues that just like the way David silenced Goliath, Free Agents are playing against fellow humans who are using blood meaning they can be defeated. Nasreddine Nabi-led Chiefs have further been warned that despite their reputation, they must prepare for the fixture.

‘We Free Agents have set a goal, we going out there to play'

“We set standards, we are already losers if we say we are going there with nothing to lose, let’s just go play and leave the stadium,” Oladeru said ahead of the game.

“We are just going to whatever thing that is going to happen. When I heard the advert of the tournament, they said David versus Goliath so you know anything can happen.

“Message to Kaizer Chiefs, there’s no warning, we have to respect the brand as one of the biggest teams in the country, but they must prepare.”

Kaizer Chiefs will be aiming at avoiding another unceremonious exit from the competition in the early stage. Last season, Milford FC eliminated them from the same Round of 32 phase.

The Sunday game will be played at the FNB Stadium from 18.00 hours SAT.
