Kaizer Chiefs legend Mandla Masango believes the club has found a potential solution for their attacking woes in the “arrogant” young striker, Wandile Duba.
Duba emerged as one of Chiefs' heroes this past weekend, netting a crucial goal in their impressive 2-0 Nedbank Cup semifinal victory over Mamelodi Sundowns.
Prior to the match, the promising striker had boldly promised Chiefs supporters that the team would win the Nedbank Cup. By scoring and helping propel his side to the final, Duba certainly delivered on his word.
Masango has lauded Duba for his courage and determination, stating that the youngster possesses the potential to spearhead the Chiefs' attack.

MASANGO SAYS DUBA CAN LEAD CHIEFS’ ATTACKING LINE
“I think Duba is a player with a lot of potential, as a country, we have problems with scoring goals, and as young as he is – he has a big heart, if you can recall, there was a goal he scored where he put his foot on the line,” Mandla Masango said as quoted by iDiski Times.
“He nearly injured himself again, but seeing such performances from a youngster, a Chiefs product, I’m really proud to see him putting up his hand, to show he is ready to lead the line. Because at first, he played wide, he played well but it wasn’t his strength.
“Watching him from the development, he used to play as a number nine, he makes good runs, he’s arrogant, you need that sense of arrogance on the field, so you don’t get overshadowed by big defenders. He’s mobile and has a good eye for goal.”
