Orlando Pirates’ wait for a first DStv Diski Challenge win of the season continues after yet another draw while Kaizer Chiefs have made it back-to-back wins.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs were 2-1 winners over Chippa United, making it two straight wins in the PSL Reserve League.

Chiefs & Sundonws are the early pacesetters

The Glamour Boys had to do it the hard way after Chippa went ahead, courtesy of Luzuko Ngqina for a 1-0 lead at halftime, but Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi put Chiefs level 30 minutes from time, before Pheko Phago won them all the three points 16 minutes later.

Mamelodi Sundowns also made it back-to-back wins after securing a 4-1 victory against Marumo Gallants and they had Siyabonga Mabena and Thulani Zandamela to thank for their big win.

Meanwhile, defending champions Stellenbosch recorded their first victory of the season following a 2-1 defeat of Richards Bay, while Bernard Parker began his stint in the dugout with a draw after his TS Galaxy recorded a 1-1 stalemate with SuperSport United.

In other matches, Magesi FC forced a goalless draw against AmaZulu as Sekhukhune United recovered from last weekend’s 6-2 thrashing at the hands of Cape Town City to defeat Golden Arrows 3-0.

Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are the early pacesetters as they are the only teams to have recorded maximum points from the opening two matches of the season.
