Kaizer Chiefs are close to finalising their first transfer of the January window following reports that SuperSport United striker Tashreeq Morris is set to undergo a medical at Naturena on Friday.
Chiefs have been quiet over the players they are working on but it has now been revealed that the former Sekhukhune United striker has agreed to swap SuperSport for Chiefs in a deal that would see Congolese forward Christian Saile move the other way.
According to SABC, Chiefs have been working on a deal for the striker since the beginning of the month in a bid to shore up their attack that only has Ashley Du Preez and Ranga Chivaviro as the strikers coach Nasreddine Nabi trusts.

Will Morris solve Chiefs’ problems?
Morris joined SuperSport in October after being lured by coach Gavin Hunt as they struggled for goals with Bradley Grobler injured, and he has scored two goals in 10 games so far this term, with Matsatsantsa still not able to solve their issues up front after just five league goals netted in 13 games.
SuperSport have allowed the 30-year-old to leave with Saile set to join the club, which is also boosted by the availability of Samir Nurkovic, who is now eligible to play following his signing in November.
Chiefs feel the striker will add goals and improve their attack that has been guilty of missing chances and also adds depth to the department which is now short following the injury of Du Preez.
However, whether the 30-year-old is a ‘Chiefs level’ player that Nabi has been demanding remains to be seen although he will have to wait to make his Chiefs debut as he is serving a two-game suspension following his red card against Sekhukhune last weekend.
