Mamelodi Sundowns legend Teko Modise has warned Kaizer Chiefs against sending Nasreddine Nabi packing at the end of the season, arguing he has not built his team.
The Tunisian tactician joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of the season from AS FAR Rabat with a promise to rebuild the Glamour Boys. However, he has struggled to make a mark across all competitions.
Amakhosi were eliminated from the Carling Knockout at the quarter-final stage and are at a risk of missing out on next season's MTN8 for the second consecutive season owing to their inconsistencies in the Premier Soccer League. However, Modise argues Nabi doesn't have the players he wants.

The former Bafana Bafana international has further stated that success in the first season is not guaranteed in South African top-flight football.
Nasreddine Nabi might be Kaizer Chiefs' answer – Modise
“I think coach Nabi does deserve a chance [to improve Chiefs; I think he deserves more time. From a person like me who is a fan of football, I believe that he needs to be afforded the chance to sign a couple of players that he needs, the kind of players that can easily adjust to the kind of demands that he wants and the style of play that he wants,” the 42-year-old told the media.
“I mean he still has the players that have been playing for Kaizer Chiefs last season and it’s the same players that were struggling last season. You can change as many coaches as you want but as long as the players remain the same and they don’t respond to the coach’s instructions or his ideology, it’s always going to be difficult to succeed.
“I think he does deserve the chance. Who knows? He might be the answer because not every coach in South African football becomes successful in his first season,” Modise concluded.
On Sunday, Amakhosi will be playing Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup semi-final game to be staged at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium from 18.00 hours SAT.
