Mamelodi Sundowns made a gigantic step towards the Caf Champions League semi-final after winning the quarterfinal’s first leg against Esperance by a solitary goal.
Peter Shalulile scored the only goal on Tuesday night, after some good work from Lucas Ribeiro and Jayden Adams, at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium to give Miguel Cardoso’s team a huge advantage ahead of the second leg to be played in Tunisia on April 8.
Have a look at what the fans in Mzansi had to say after the massive win by Masandawana.
Job well done Masandawana!

A job well done to Masandawana. The clean sheet is very important as it challenges the opponents to go out and try to score in the second leg, thus leaving some gaps that Sundowns can try to exploit – Shungube Celucolo
Esperance applied the wrong tactics of trying to sit deep in their own half instead of trying to push Sundowns more with counter-attacks, so they failed dismally. For me, Sundowns will finish them off in Tunisia come second leg – Juvez Phatsoane
Now I understand why Rhulani Mokwena failed to beat the master tactician Miguel Cardoso – Sicelo Ndlozi
Don't ever compare Lucas Ribeiro to any player in the Premier Soccer League, it is a criminal offense – Rasta Pig
Laser lights will disturb Ronwen Williams and confuse Sundowns, but let's pray the match officials will not favour Esperance but provide good officiating – Clement Iphanta Zuzu
Sundowns against Esperance was too slow and boring

The experience of Sundowns playing regularly in the Caf Champions League helped a great deal, and it will continue to give them the edge – Makate Simon Mojapelo
Being a Kaizer Chiefs fan is hard, always wanting teams to drop points or lose shame – Billy
Eish, imagine Kaizer Chiefs will have to face Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup semi-final – Mabutho Handsome Bhungane
Just hear them crying here, saying Sundowns won't win away because of pain – Aubrey Shaddy
This was a lackluster win by Mamelodi Sundowns. Overall, the game was too slow and boring – Die Groot Kaefer
