DStv Diski Challenge: Pirates back to winning ways as Stellies blow away Galaxy go top

Orlando Pirates have gotten back to winning ways after securing maximum points in the DStv Diski Challenge, while Stellenbosch FC have ascended to the top of the PSL Reserve League standings.  

The Buccaneers secured a narrow 1-0 win against Lamontville Golden Arrows during a match held at the DDC festival at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont.  

Siphamandla Msezane continued his impressive performance this season by netting the sole goal for Ezimnyama Ngenkani, marking their third win of the campaign.

The Soweto giants entered this match following one loss and one draw in their last two encounters. They currently occupy fourth place with 12 points from seven matches.

Meanwhile, the defending champions Stellenbosch ran riot securing a resounding 5-1 win over TS Galaxy.

Langelihle Phili, who’s now part of the first team, bagged a hat trick while other goals were scored by Quwan Plaatjies and Keenan Johannesen. 

They are now on top of the league standings with 14 points accumulated after seven games so far.

In the other match of the day, Magesi FC and Chippa United played to a 2-2 draw.
