Kaizer Chiefs maintained their place at the top of the DStv Diski Challenge table following a 1-0 win over Orlando Pirates in the Soweto Derby on Sunday.
Aden McCarthy scored the only goal of the match in what was an eventful game that had a penalty saved.
Chiefs had an opportunity to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty after striker Imaad Hendrics was fouled inside the box.

McCarthy stepped up but saw his effort saved by Pirates goalkeeper Bayanda Zulu.
However, McCarthy got another bite of the cherry when Chiefs were awarded a second penalty in the 64th minute but this time, he made no mistakes.
That is how it ended as Chiefs claimed the double over Pirates, ending the Buccaneers’ six-match winning run, to stay top of the table with 51 points from 21 matches, one ahead of second-placed Stellenbosch FC.
How does it look on the table?

Defending champions Stellenbosch recorded the biggest win of the weekend when they hammered Chippa United 9-1 on Saturday, while SuperSport United edged cross-town rivals Mamelodi Sundowns 3-2 in the Tshwane derby on the same day.
SuperSport have now moved to third place on 44 points, one more than Pirates, while Sundowns dropped further down to fifth place on 42 points.
Kaizer Chiefs still have an advantage in the title race as they have one match in hand over Stellenbosch which can see them open up a four-point lead in case of victory.
