Kaizer Chiefs are set to confirm Tashreeq Morris as their new striker to bolster the team's attacking department.

The transfer has generated a heated debate on social media, on whether he is really the person that the club need in their bid to get goals regularly.

Have a look at what the Glamour Boys faithful said regarding the former SuperSport United man.

Morris has the fighting spirit

Morris is not bad, with a good supply from Mduduzi Shabalala and Gaston Sirino, the guy will score he's got that hunger and fighting spirit – Lindokuhle Menziwa Biyela

Tashreeq Morris is not bad at all, he is better than Ranga Basomboli Chivaviro – Zitha Kwinika

Pirates signed Maswanganyi and he wasn't playing much at SuperSport United. But he got praised when he was signed by Bucs, the same as Thelente Mbatha. If Morris was signed by Sundowns, everyone would be praising the signing but because he is at Chiefs, he's an average player – St Jobe

But Chiefs! We also wanted Stanley Nwabali, and they got us Fiacre Ntwari. They like taking shortcuts – Thulani Dlangamandla

Tashreeq Morris will succeed at Kaizer Chiefs, he is a 90-minute fighter. Just give him a chance – April Ntai

Kaizer Chiefs are a joke

Kaizer Chiefs Fans

This team is a joke. They say they want strikers then end up signing Morris. Kaizer Chiefs are dead – Nkalankata Tom Mophises

Chiefs are playing with Nabi, he won't succeed. They're making him a laughing stock – PA Tli SO

The best thing for Nasreddine Nabi is to leave these failures, Chiefs are a joke – Mzwai Zwide

But I think Morris is what the coach is looking for. Sundowns signed a lot of local players and they are doing well because they fit in their system –  William Dingakeng

Honestly speaking he is better than what we have in the front. Let's give him love and a warm welcome – Thammy Matheba
