DStv Diski Challenge: Chiefs back to winning ways as Stellies secure big win

Kaizer Chiefs returned to winning ways in the DStv Diski Challenge while the champions Stellenbosch FC secured a massive victory to remain at the summit of the table.

Amakhosi got back to a winning form with a commanding 4-0 win over Polokwane City away at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Vela Khumalo’s troops came to this match having drawn both their previous two games and this dominant win has put an end to their winless streak.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys now occupy second position in the league standings with 17 points they have garnered. They are tied with the log leaders Stellenbosch who are superior with goal difference.

In one of the fixtures that took place on Sunday, Stellenbosch secured a resounding 6-0 victory over strugglers Lamontville Golden Arrows at the Idas Valley Stadium.

Abafana Bes’thende have lost six and drawn one of their seven games they have  played this season.

Meanwhile, Stellenbosch FC appear to be in excellent form, having won four of their last five matches.
