DStv Diski Challenge: Chiefs maintain top spot as Pirates return to winning ways

Kaizer Chiefs maintained their dominance at the top of the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) table with a 1-0 away victory over Marumo Gallants. Matala Makhubo's lone goal secured maximum points for Chiefs, extending their winning streak to three matches.

Chiefs lead the standings with 33 points from 14 games, while winless Gallants remain rooted at the bottom with only three points from 15 matches.

Orlando Pirates bounced back from a recent slump with a 2-1 victory over Polokwane City at Isak Steyl Stadium. Siphamandla Msezane scored both Pirates goals, lifting them to eighth place in the standings with 22 points from 14 games.

Mamelodi Sundowns extended their winning run to two matches, defeating TS Galaxy 2-1 to maintain their second-place position with 32 points from 14 games.

SuperSport United continued their impressive form with a 4-0 victory over Cape Town City, extending their winning streak to four matches. Matsatsantsa remain in third place with 31 points, while City dropped to fifth with 26 points.

Elsewhere, Golden Arrows defeated Chippa United 1-0, Magesi FC overcame Sekhukhune United 2-1, and Richards Bay secured a 2-1 victory over AmaZulu FC.
