Darrel Matsheke, a former midfielder for Kaizer Chiefs, has signed a short-term contract with Kruger United, a team competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, according to FARPost.
Midfielder Thabo Matsheke, 26, has signed a five-month contract with Mpumalanga-based Kruger United, continuing his career in the South African second tier.
This move comes after a short spell with Pretoria Callies, whom he joined as a free agent in October alongside Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya. Matsheke had been clubless for over six months following his departure from Stellenbosch FC.

MATSHEKE LOOKING REIGNITE HIS CAREER IN SECOND-TIER
He now looks to reignite his career in the lower division.
Matsheke, who previously played for the now-defunct Uthongathi FC (second-tier), Moroka Swallows, a Cape Winelands team, and Pretoria Callies, has joined Kruger.
The team will be hoping he helps the club as it aims for promotion to the Betway Premiership next season. Currently, Kruger sits seventh in the league with 23 points from 16 matches.
Matsheke's debut could come against Stellenbosch FC on Tuesday, January 28th at 7:00 PM in the Nedbank Cup.
