Former Kaizer Chiefs Samir Nurkovic looks set to sign for SuperSport United who have been actively looking to enhance their attacking options.
Nurkovic has been a free agent after parting ways with TS Galaxy in the past few weeks.
The Serbian forward departed the Rockets despite the club exercising a one-year extension on his contract, which had expired at the end of the last season.
His new contract was set to expire at the end of the current season with the Mpumalanga-based team.
Nurkovic signed with Galaxy in September of the previous year after being without a team for a period following a short stint with Royal AM.
During his time at TS Galaxy, he netted 10 goals across 29 appearances in all competitions. Reports suggest that his desire for a consistent starting position contributed to his decision to leave.
The 32-year-old forward only started eight of 29 matches he featured in.

HOW LONG NURKOVIC’S CONTRACT AT SUPERSPORT WILL BE
According to FARPost, Nurkovic is expected to put pen to paper on a one year deal and an option to extend after agreeing terms with Matsatsantsa.
It appears he only accepted the second offer after initially declining the first.
SuperSport was in urgent need of a striker, especially with Bradley Grobler sidelined for an extended period due to a long-term injury.
It is noteworthy that SuperSport's coach, Gavin Hunt, and Nurkovic have previously worked together at Chiefs, the club that brought the Serbian player to South Africa.
During his tenure at Chiefs, Nurkovic netted 21 goals and provided 10 assists in 78 matches.
