Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Mandla Masango has identified a crucial area of improvement that Orlando Pirates prodigy Relebohile Mofokeng has made since his professional debut.
Mofokeng played his first game for the Buccaneers on 3 May 2023 when they won 3-0 over Royal AM at home.
He has made significant strides, earning admiration for Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos who handed him his first call up in June.
Masango notes that Mofokeng has shown considerable improvement in his direct involvement in goals, both in scoring and providing assists.
He believes that Mofokeng faced challenges in making such significant contributions during the initial phases of his career with the Soweto club.

MANDLA MASANGO HIGHLIGHTS MOFOKENG SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT
“I think the sky is the limit for Rele, I like the fact that he’s very humble and he gets down to business,” said Masango.
“His game has improved in terms of stats. If you can check the games he plays, he assists, he scores and every time he has the ball, you can see there’s something that might happen.
“So, I wish him all the best. Hence, I said last time that he should have been in the Bafana’s AFCON squad.
“But here he is and he’s proving himself. I hope this is his last season locally and he goes overseas.”
Mofokeng made his debut for the Bafana Bafana during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe. He was handed another call-up recently for AFCON qualifiers against Uganda and South Sudan.
Last week, he came on from the bench and played a crucial role in helping South Africa achieve a 2-2 draw after they were down 2-1. His teammate from Pirates, Thalente Mbatha, netted the equalizing goal in the final moments.
