This weekend, Kaizer Chiefs will face Marumo Gallants in their quest for their first victory in an official match under the new leadership of Nasreddine Nabi, who was appointed during the off-season.
Amakhosi engaged in several friendly matches throughout the pre-season, including a significant 4-0 loss to Young Africans in the Toyota Cup.
They will be looking to start the season well having struggled to do so in many past seasons.
Meanwhile, Gallants returned to the premiership after purchasing the top-flight status from Moroka Swallows.
Last season, they were competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship having been relegated at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
