Kaizer Chiefs Transfers: Amakhosi urged to add these new players ahead of PSL start

Amakhosi have been given impressive possible signings ahead of the new Premier Soccer League campaign.

Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs are still active in the ongoing transfer window in their bid to get quality players to compete in Mzansi.

They have been heavily linked with a move to Bafana Bafana and Polokwane City winger Oswin Appollis, with the club's Sporting Director Kaizer Motuang Jr confirming contact has already been made.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi still wants to strengthen his midfield and the attacking department.

Chiefs given options

Former club's winger Junior Khanye has now advised the Glamor Boys on players they should consider bringing at Naturena.

“[Kaizer Chiefs] are supposed to buy attackers and midfielders. I’m saying they must go for [Sipho] Mbule, Chiefs got money. Mbule and [Siphelele] Mkhulise, even if they are not playing [regularly], they were playing Champions League,” he told iDiski TV.

“Mkhulise is quality, Mbule is quality. If Chiefs signed those two players, and bring back Khama Billiat. He’s got quality, I rate him highly. He was born with quality, he needed confidence and the surrounding.”

Go for more defenders

So far, Amakhosi have signed three defenders – Rushwin Dortley, Bradley Cross and Inacio Miguel, but Khanye believes they need more.

“Keanu Cupido, the centre-back. If they brought him and the right-back who went to Pirates, Deano [van Rooyen]. I thought Chiefs could’ve signed him,” he continued.

“The defender from Stellenbosch as well, [Ismail] Toure or [Thabo] Moloisane, one between those two. Go all out. Bring in Ricardo Goss. They should’ve broken their bank for Goss.”

The Glamour Boys will start their Premier Soccer League campaign on Saturday with a tricky game away against Marumo Gallants in Bloemfontein.
