Hlompho Kekana identifies Chiefs player who could soon break into Bafana Bafana

Former Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana has identified a Kaizer Chiefs player he believes may soon earn a place in the Bafana Bafana squad.

Hugo Broos, the head coach of the South African national team, is known for his willingness to provide opportunities to players who excel at the club level.

As many have noted, no player is guaranteed a position in the Bafana team; failure to perform can result in exclusion from future selections.

Currently, Rushwin Dortley is the only Chiefs player consistently receiving call-ups.

Kekana believes that midfielder Samkelo Zwane is another player who could catch Broos's attention.

KEKANA ON CHIEFS PLAYER THAT COULD SOON IMPRESS HUGO BROOS

“I fancy young Samkelo Zwane to be the player that they can rely on in terms of being on the ball more,” he said on SABC Sport.

“This is a player that I believe this coming season he should be in the Bafana team because of the quality that he possesses.

“He knows how to play the longer and the shorter passes, he knows how to play in the half spaces.

“This is a player that I believe is complete and needs to be guided properly and they’ve got a nice coach in Nabi.

“And looking how the way things have been going from the first match to the Sundowns match I believe this a team that is going to compete and is going to cause a lot of trouble for other teams.”
