Hunt questions PSL over ‘Chiefs, Pirates, Chiefs’ SuperSport schedule

SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has criticised the PSL fixture schedule, which has seen his team face Kaizer Chiefs twice and Orlando Pirates in the same week.

SuperSport suffered 2-0 defeat to SuperSport under the lights of Orlando Stadium with goals from Evidence Makgopa and Deon Hotto.

The Sea Robbers maintained their 100% start to the season. They have won all their opening four matches in the Betway Premiership.

After the game, Hunt hinted that things were not made fair for SuperSport who faced Kaizer Chiefs this past weekend, Pirates in the midweek and will take on Chiefs again this upcoming weekend.

HUNT BELIEVES FIXTURES WEREN’T SCHEDULED FAIRLY FOR SUPERSPORT

“Congratulations to Orlando Pirates,” said Hunt.

“It's amazing, only in this country but they are a good side, they've invested well in their team, they've got so much options, they're a good side and they'll be able to be a force to be reckoned with.

“Nobody has played Chiefs, Pirates, Chiefs in a week [SuperSport face Chiefs again on Saturday], if Chiefs played Pirates they never play Sundowns on Wednesday, so it's crazy.

“We have a big game on Saturday, we will try to get over this period. I know the players are committed but obviously we're lacking the quality.”
