Kaizer Chiefs legend Itumeleng Khune has expressed his displeasure over the behaviour of coach Nasreddine Nabi before his team’s 1-0 loss to Golden Arrows on Sunday.
Nabi was spotted wearing headphones during the pitch inspection at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban before his team went on to lose the match, with the tactician also sent off over what he said to the match official.
The veteran coach has been feeling the pressure after his players failed to live up to expectations, having arrived with great hype of turning around the club’s fortunes.
Khune unhappy with coach’s behaviour

With Chiefs struggling for consistency, Nabi has cast blame at the media for raising expectations on his squad, blamed referees, and even fans, but the results are not changing and Khune is among those not impressed with his behaviour.
“Very disappointing to see the head coach wearing headphones on the field before the game starts and what I also noticed is that he gave them to Mfundo Vilakazi who is a youngster and the boy has not started a match in a while,” Khune said on SABC.
“The boy wants to be in his zone and focus on the match, he gives him the headphones and says; ‘Listen to what I am listening to’ and yet we are playing a very important game.”
Should Nabi be reprimanded?

Khune now wants the club to call Nabi to order as he feels the tactician is not setting the right example for the players.
“I am very disappointed at that and I think the club must look into it and call him to order because as a leader, as a head coach, you can’t be behaving like the players behave,” he added.
Nabi has so far won five of his 13 league matches, losing as many, with the Glamour Boys placed sixth on the PSL standings.
