Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Mokete Tsotetsi feels it wasn't wise for striker Ranga Chivaviro to get back to the Amakhosi fans after scoring in the 4-0 win over SuperSport United in the Carling Knockout's Round of 16.
The former Marumo Gallants striker missed two crucial chances which did not go down well with the Glamour Boys' supporters. They reacted with boos and asked coach Nasreddine Nabi to sub him.
However, eventually, the forward managed to get his goal mid-second-half, and he reacted by gestures to the fans, saying that they talk too much.
The former defender believes that was not the right way for the 31-year-old to handle the situation.
It was not worth it – Chivaviro told
“I saw the game and he missed so many and he was in the right positions at the right time. But the good thing is, as a striker, he is always there,” Tsotetsi told SNL24.
“My advice to him is to focus on his game and focus on bettering himself. He has been scoring lately and he is working hard and the technical team is happy with what he has given them.

“For him to want to answer the supporters is not worth it because he needs to focus on his game and make sure that he improves. I saw the supporters booing him, but it's important to focus on his game. Look at the goal he scored.
“It was a marvelous goal. He must continue working hard and see where he can improve. He is someone who can score goals and he needs to be mentally strong. He should not let supporters play with his mind or else he will end up losing concentration and lose confidence in himself.”
This season, the bulky forward has already scored three goals in four games across all competitions.
