‘It’s a bad luck’ – Nasreddine Nabi on Chiefs’ winless run

A 1-1 draw with TS Galaxy has extended Kaizer Chiefs' winless run in the Betway Premiership to four matches, a period that has seen them lose twice and draw twice.

Speaking after the game, Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi discussed the match against The Rockets, where Wandile Duba's first-half goal was cancelled out by a late Mlungisi Mbunjana equaliser.

Nabi felt his team had done everything they could to secure the win but were ultimately unlucky.

NABI ON CHIEFS’ WINLESS RUN

“We think the players today did everything they could to get the good results,” said Nabi as quoted by FARPost.

“I feel we are going through a moment of bad luck because of the lack of results. But we’re going to hang in there, everyone has to push more and to work hard.”

However, the Tunisian coach maintains a positive outlook, believing that Kaizer Chiefs will be able to turn things around and are still aiming for a respectable position in the league table as the season concludes.

“And we are pretty sure that the luck will come back and we will see where we finish at the end of the season.”

Chiefs are next in action against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal on Sunday, 13 April at Loftus Versfeld Stadium at 6:30 PM.
