Kaizer Chiefs announce return of academy product & Bradley Cross signing

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of Bradley Cross from Golden Arrows and the sensational return of their academy product, Njabulo Blom, who joins on a one-year loan from St. Louis City.

Amakhosi have now made seven additions in the transfer window, following the arrivals of Gaston Sirino, Inacio Miguel, Fiacre Ntwari, Bongani Sam, and Rushwin Dortley.

Cross is set to bolster the left-back position, which coach Nasreddine Nabi had instructed the club to strengthen with an experienced player. He was signed as an alternative after they failed to secure Fawaaz Basadien (Stellenbosch FC) and Riaan Hanamub (AmaZulu FC).

Meanwhile, Blom will be strengthening the defensive midfield, a position that the Soweto giants have seemingly struggled with in recent seasons.

He returns for his second stint with the Glamour Boys having come through the club's junior ranks and left in January 2023 to join the MLS side.

“Kaizer Chiefs have reunited with utility player Njabulo Blom, who returns to the Club after his recent stint with St. Louis City FC in the United States. Blom, a talented and versatile footballer, has signed a one-year loan deal with Amakhosi and will once again don the famous Gold and Black jersey,” the club announced on their website.
