Kaizer Chiefs beware! TS Galaxy expect to ‘take points’ off Amakhosi

TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic feels Kaizer Chiefs are the perfect opponent to face at this point when his team are looking to bounce back from a defeat.

Galaxy visit Chiefs looking to return to winning ways after their 2-1 loss to Marumo Gallants last weekend, a defeat that ended their four-game unbeaten run that had seen them win three and draw the other.

The Rockets face a wounded Chiefs team that has not won any of their last three matches, having drawn with Cape Town City before back-to-back defeats to Richards Bay and Golden Arrows followed.

That has left Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi under massive pressure ahead of Saturday’s match as it is a must win otherwise his future at the club will become a subject of discussion.

For Beganovic, the indifferent form of Chiefs is just what his team needs to return to winning ways as he feels they can take advantage of the low confidence within the Amakhosi camp.

“Great opportunity for us, Kaizer Chiefs is a great club with great players but in the last couple of games, they didn't play well but we also lost the last game, so we need to be sure,” said Beganovic as quoted by SABC.

“We need to fix our condition, we need to fix our mistakes that we did in the previous game and then we have a great opportunity.

“Also, we play at a great stadium in front of the many fans and then I think we need to show our quality, what we have in our team, in our squad and I expect my team to play a great game, to fight for 90 minutes and then in the end, I don't know what we can expect but if we can do everything on 90 minutes, we can expect to take some points.”

How is Beganovic preparing for Nabi?

With Nabi constantly changing his formations, Beganovic has been doing his homework and is prepared for any challenge that the veteran coach springs on his team.

“For our preparation, we always analyse three, four games and we watch and then we want to make sure of three or two solutions, how Kaizer Chiefs can play and then we prepare ourselves for that solution,” he added.

“It can happen, he can change everything, he can play the same, but it's very important for us to prepare ourselves to understand if he changed how he played the last game. If he wants to change that, we have to make sure we adapt ourselves to that.”

Victory for Chiefs at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane could see them move a place up to seventh spot on the PSL table while fourth-placed Galaxy will move into third place with a win given Stellenbosch are not in action this weekend.
