Kaizer Chiefs will have minimal representation in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers, with only one player called up for international duty.

Notably, no Chiefs players have been selected for the Bafana Bafana squad that will compete in the qualification window from March 17th to 25th for the 2026 tournament in the USA.

Bafana Bafana will face Lesotho on Friday, March 21st at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, followed by a match against Benin on Tuesday, March 25th at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny.

NTWARI REPRESENTS CHIEFS IN WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS

Chiefs will only be represented by goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari. Ntwari has been called up by the Rwandan national team, who are in the same qualifying group as South Africa and currently lead the table on goal difference, tied on seven points with both Bafana and Benin.

Rwanda is scheduled to play Nigeria on Friday, March 21st and then Lesotho on Tuesday, March 25th.

Despite limited recent game time for Chiefs, with his last appearance being in a 4-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Knockout Cup, Ntwari is expected to start both crucial qualifiers for Rwanda as their first-choice goalkeeper.
