Kaizer Chiefs are creating space ahead of anticipated new transfers ahead of the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League season.
The management is under immense pressure to bring on board personalities that can change the club's fortune after nine seasons without a trophy. They opted to grant incoming coach Nasreddine Nabi his wish to set up a technical team that will help him in delivering for the Khosi nation.
Some players have a couple of days remaining in their contract with the Glamour Boys. Among them are Sifiso Hlanti, Njabulo Ngcobo, Siyethemba Sithebe, Edmilson Dove, Itumeleng Khune, George Matlou and Keagan Dolly. Reports from Naturena indicate the Soweto giants have now decided on three established players.
Who has been released by the Glamour Boys?

Sifiso Hlanti
The experienced defender, who was a regular with Bafana Bafana, joined Amakhosi from Moroka Swallows in the 2021/22 season.
He started with seven PSL appearances before playing 23 games in the league in his second campaign at the club. In what could be his final year at Chiefs, the left-back featured for Black and Gold 21 times.
Hlanti made a total of 62 appearances for struggling Chiefs which affected his national team chances. The management has reportedly opted not to renew his deal.

Siyethemba Sithebe
The now 31-year-old was lethal at AmaZulu, pulling strings from the midfield which encouraged Chiefs to go for his services.
He made 22 league appearances in the 2022/23 season and just 11 in the concluded one. In the two years Sithebe has been at Amakhosi, he played a total of 33 matches. Despite an improved performance late into the season, it seems the club had already made its mind about him.
Keagan Dolly
Chiefs faithful had high expectations when Dolly was signed by their team three seasons ago. The versatile attacker had all the experience needed; both domestically and internationally which was needed at Naturena.
However, the 31-year-old former Montpellier player – who is reportedly the best-paid player at Amakhosi, failed to deliver.
Injuries in the final year of his contract haven't made things better for Dolly who made a total of 59 appearances across all competitions.
After being honoured for the 25-year service, it is highly unlikely Khune will be retained while Ngcobo is rumoured to be on his way to Sekhukhune United.
