The Black and Gold supporters hope this season will end their nine-year trophy drought.

Soweto Giants Kaizer Chiefs have officially unveiled their 2024/25 home and away kits ahead of the new Premier Soccer League campaign.

The Glamour Boys have once again partnered with Kappa to unleash a beautiful piece the fans will no doubt scramble to purchase. Kappa restored their partnership with Chiefs last season after replacing Nike.

Initially, the two parties worked together from 1989 to 1996, an era that saw Amakhosi win a total of 12 trophies, and the management hopes this season will be the beginning of another successful spell after ending the first year in the worst possible position for the club, 10th position.

A new beginning for the Glamour Boys?

Chiefs are under a new coach Nasreddine Nabi who joined from the Moroccan outfit AS FAR Rabat. The Tunisian came to Naturena alongside assistant coaches Fernando Da Cruz and Khalil Ben Youssef. Ilyes Mzoughi is the goalkeepers' trainer while Safi Majdi will serve as a strength and conditioning coach.

Chiefs have been camping in Dubai for the last three weeks, where coach Nabi was shaping his squad.

“We are satisfied with how our preparations have gone so far; it has not been easy, but the boys showed their tenacity and mental strength,” Amakhosi Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr opened up to the media.

“Being away from family and friends in a foreign country is never easy, but we came together as a team and did it.

“The team and the coaches will continue to work on the new season’s preparations because we need to ensure that we are ready to compete when the season starts. We know it’s not going to be easy, and it will take a bit of time, but we do know that supporters will journey with us as we try and get back on track.”

Chiefs conclude their pre-season with another game on Sunday against Yanga SC in the Toyota Cup.
