Kaizer Chiefs legend Brian Baloyi has made comparisons between coach Nasreddine Nabi and ex-tactician Muhsin Ertugral for their belief in young players.
Nabi has put his trust in youth in the few months he has been in charge of the club with the likes of Mduduzi Shabalala, Mfundo Vilakazi, Wandile Duba and Samkelo Zwane getting opportunities in the first three PSL matches and Baloyi is delighted with that.
The legendary goalkeeper feels the Tunisian tactician is following in the footsteps of Turkish coach Ertugral who also gave opportunities to youngsters with the most notable one being Itumeleng Khune who was handed a chance in the senior team when he was 16.
“I’ve had an interaction with coach Nabi,” Baloyi said on Podcast and Chill as reported by iDiski Times.

Why the Nabi- Ertugral comparison?
“He loves youngsters. He reminds me a lot of Muhsin Ertugral. That’s why you’ll see the Vilakazis and Shabalalas playing so much. Your Zwane.
“You’ll see a lot of the youngsters, cos [beccause] this man [Coach Nabi], like I said, reminds me a lot of Muhsin Ertugral. And he’s giving these youngsters a chance and for them to express themselves.”
While he is thrilled by what he has seen so far, Baloyi feels Chiefs still need reinforcements in attack if they have to challenge their main rivals.
“We still need here and there. Our defence is a bit shaky, but going forward I’m happy,” he added.

Baloyi feels Chiefs are still light up front
“I’ve always said we need another striker. [Ranga] Chiva is turning out to step up, and I mean he’s scoring and that’s what we need from him.
“My only worry is that looking at Sirino that he’s the lifeblood and controlling the orchestra. If something were to happen to him – injury or he got sick, I’m hoping that we’re not gonna have a problem.”
Chiefs have won two of their first three league games under Nabi with their display showing remarkable improvements to the delight of their supporters.
