Kaizer Chiefs legend points out youngster who should be loaned out

A Kaizer Chiefs legend has pointed out a club’s youngster who should be sent out on loan in order to get more playing time next season.

Chiefs are reportedly considering sending six players out on loan ahead of the upcoming season. As they continue to revamp their squad, some players could see the exit door in the near future.

Former Chiefs player Zebulon Nhlapo says Samkelo Zwane should spend next season elsewhere on loan where he’s almost guaranteed game time. He believes the move will help Zwane develop into a more “complete player”.

WHICH CHIEFS YOUNGSTER MUST BE LOANED OUT?

“Loans usually do wonders for players, that's how the club used to get the best out of the likes of Fani Madida,” Nhlapo told KickOff.

“A loan move will allow Samkelo to get the game-time he needs to develop. He has just been unfortunate, but he is a complete player.

“There is nothing wrong with accepting a loan move, it is something that is done abroad. If that happens, it would be the right decision by Chiefs.”

Nhlapo expressed confusion over the lack of opportunities for Zwane, who has shown promise whenever given the chance.

‘WHY COACHES ARE NOT USING HIM?’

“I don't know why coaches are not using him because he is a good player that boy,” he added.

“So, my advice to both the club and the player is to consider a loan move.

“You cannot sell a young player, you just need to point him in the right direction and help him wherever he might be lacking.

“No youngster is perfect at the beginning of his career, we were also struggling a bit when we started.

“You only gain confidence though playing enough games, so if Samkelo is on that list of those six players, this will do him more good than bad.”
