Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa has reportedly been offered to his former club, Stellenbosch FC, after struggling to make an impact since his move to Naturena.
The 30-year-old made a move to Amakhosi in 2022. However, he hasn’t lived up to expectations with Chiefs still struggling against n the midfield.
According to iDiski Times, Stellies have rejected Mthethwa as Chiefs were looking to move him back to the Cape Winelands side on a season-loan loan ahead of the closure of the transfer window.
Meanwhile, the report added that AmaZulu FC failed in their attempts to lure the midfielder as they wanted a swap deal that couldn’t happen.
AmaZulu FC also attempted to acquire Mthethwa but were unsuccessful in negotiating a swap deal. Chippa United has also shown interest in the former Black Leopards midfielder.

MTHETHWA NOT IN NABI’S PLANS?
It appears that Mthethwa may not be in the plans of Nasreddine Nabi, who was recently appointed as Chiefs' head coach.
Nabi's arrival has initiated a rebuilding process at the club as they aim to create a formidable team under his leadership.
This transfer window, Chiefs have parted ways with the likes of Keagan Dolly who was the vice-captain and the highest paid player at the club.
Following his departure from Chiefs, he was on the verge of signing with SuperSport United. However, the fell through even after completing medical successfully.
Gavin Hunt chose to sign Vincent Pule, with whom he had previously worked at Bidvest Wits. Dolly remains unsigned. Dolly has yet to find a new home.
They also let go of Njabulo Ngcobo, Sfiso Hlanti, Efmamjjasond Gonzalez and Siyethemba Sithebe.
Ngcobo went to sign with Sekhukhune United while Sithebe joined Richards Bay FC. Meanwhile, Gonzalez returned to his old club Real Santa Cruz.
