Kaizer Chiefs opponents release shock statement on Cufa Cup

Marumo Gallants have released a shock statement on Cufa Cup that is scheduled to be played on Sunday against Kaizer Chiefs.

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa have revealed that there are contractual disputes between them and the organisers (Cultural Urban Festival Africa) of the tournament.

With the match was going to take place at the Toyota Free State Stadium at 3 pm.

This development raises uncertainty about the match's continuation, with only a few hours left before the scheduled kickoff.

MARUMO GALLANTS ON CUFA CUP

“Marumo Gallants FC would like to advise its supporters and fans that it is unable to confirm its participation in the CUFA CUP game against Kaizer Chiefs FC on the 13th of October 2024 due to a contractual dispute with the organizers,” the club stated.

“Marumo Gallants FC shall advise accordingly should the dispute be resolved on time to confirm participation.”

Chiefs and Gallants have already met this season in Bloemfontein in the Betway Premiership opener. Nasreddine Nabi's men secured a 2-1 victory on the road.

The home side scored first in that match via Sekela Sithole while Mduduzi Shabalala and Mfundo Vilakazi.
