The Soweto giants claimed a huge win in a seven-goal thriller against a Qatari side this weekend.
Kaizer Chiefs hammered Qatari Stars League side Al Shahaniya SC 5-2 in a pre-season friendly game played on Saturday.
Amakhosi have been camping in Izmit, Turkey for almost three weeks, as they continue shaping up for the new season under coach Nasreddine Nabi. This weekend, they had a build-up fixture against the Qatari outfit, a match the Tunisian used to gauge his players' preparedness.
One of the players who stood out is Ranga Chivaviro; the attacker scored four goals to underline his importance for the Glamour Boys.
Is Chivaviro proving his doubters wrong?
In his final season with Marumo Gallants, the forward scored 17 goals in the 30 fixtures played across all competitions. It is the main reason why the Glamour Boys went for his services since they desperately needed a striker.
However, the 31-year-old did not replicate his form at Chiefs, scoring just four goals with an assist from the 23 outings. The four goals scored this weekend might just be a glimpse of what to expect in the 2024/25 season.
Amakhosi's fifth goal was scored by Mfundo Vilakazi who has been growing from strength to strength at the club.

Chiefs' Toyota Cup opponents suffer a loss
Tanzanian champions Yanga SC, who will play Chiefs on Sunday, July 28 in the Toyota Cup, suffered a 2-1 loss against Bundesliga side Augsburg in the Mpumalanga Premier's Cup on Saturday.
Augsburg scored their first goal in the 37th minute courtesy of defender Mads Pedersen whose shot was too much for Wananchi goalkeeper.
The advantage was doubled in the 80th minute thanks to new signing Masaya Okugawa who tapped in from about six yards out. Jean Baleke – who joined Yanga recently, scored in the 85th minute to set up a tense finale, but the German side held on to get a win.
