Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. has responded to whether the club will still make more signings to bolster the team ahead of the start of the new season.
Motaung was speaking during the new kits launch and welcoming ceremony of new technical team led by Nasreddine Nabi at Naturena on Thursday evening.
Amakhosi recently returned from their pre-season camp which was in Turkey where they also played friendly matches in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
Motaung revealed that the club is still actively pursuing transfer targets to strengthen the team for the upcoming campaign.

“Yes there definitely is [more signings], we’re working tirelessly and meticulously behind the scenes to make sure we bring the right players, who will help us achieve our objectives,” Motaung Jr. told the media.
The Soweto giants have only made three signings so far – Bongani Sam from Orlando Pirates, Fiacre Ntwari from TS Galaxy and Rushwin Dortley from Cape Town Spurs.
They have been linked with several players both locally and outside the country.
They are said to be interested in Elias Mokwana (Sekhukhune United), Asanele Velebayi (Cape Town Spurs), Oswin Appollis (Polokwane City), Inácio Miguel (Petro de Luanda), Lungelo Nguse (Golden Arrows) and Thabang Phete (Chaves)
Meanwhile, some of the signings that the club has successfully brought on board will be unveiled on Sunday when they take on Young Africans in the inaugural Toyota Cup, the club’s Football Manager Bobby Motaung confirmed on Lesedi FM.
WHEN WILL CHIEFS UNVEIL NEW SIGNINGS?
“We are coming to celebrate with you. You will be the first people that are going to see the new players, the new coach will be unveiled at the Toyota Cup in Bloemfontein, which is organized by our sponsor, Toyota,” Motaung explained.
“We are bringing love and joy to the people of Free State. We understand that there is a team coming there [Marumo Gallants] but for now we are bringing love and joy. We saw how much love Bafana Bafana brought when they filled up the stadium.
“We will be catering to our supporters in that region. We will be honouring Dr Petrus Molemela, the Chiefs legends will be playing the Celtic legends. We are bringing nothing but love and joy on the day.
“We are not announcing players, they will be seen on the day [28 July]. We have only announced the coach so far. The coach is working, he is a mechanic – he is fixing this club.”
