Kaizer Chiefs Transfers: Amakhosi to battle Pirates for Chippa midfielder

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly joined the race for Chippa United midfielder Sinoxolo Kwayiba, who is also said to be on the radar of Orlando Pirates.

The midfielder is a wanted man owing to his massive talent and it is not just Chiefs and Pirates but Sekhukhune United and SuperSport United are also reported to be monitoring him.

Chiefs are looking for reinforcements in midfield with coach Nasreddine Nabi searching for a creative player, and the 24-year-old has emerged as a potential January signing for the club, even though they could face competition from rivals Pirates.

Can Chiefs get a deal over the line?

Sinoxolo Kwayiba celebrates a goal.

According to Soccer Laduma, Chippa feel an agreement with Chiefs could be easier to do for the midfielder as the Chilli Boys are also looking at signing Congolese striker Christian Saile from the Glamour Boys this month and a swap or cash plus player deal could materialise.

“Chiefs have shown interest and he [Kwayiba] could be part of the deal involving the two clubs. With Saile expected to move to Chippa from Chiefs, there could be a swap deal if all goes according to plan,” a source told Soccer Laduma.

Kwayiba has scored two goals and provided one assist in 11 matches for Chippa this season but is considered a good prospect that can blossom in the right system and with good players around him.
