SuperSport United have reportedly jumped ahead of the queue for Kaizer Chiefs forward Christian Saile, who was said to be close to joining Chippa United.
Saile was reported to have accepted a move to Chippa in search of regular game time after falling out of favour under coach Nasreddine Nabi with the two clubs close to agreeing terms.
However, Chiefs also sounded out other clubs and now, SABC reports that SuperSport have joined the race and are now frontrunners for the DR Congo forward’s signature after it looked like he was headed to Gqeberha.

The public broadcaster says the two clubs are now in discussions over a deal for Saile, who has made just six appearances so far this season, all of them as a substitute.
Can SuperSport beat Chippa to Saile?
Chiefs are believed to be willing to let the player leave in a six-month loan deal, with the option of making it permanent, given he still has one-and-a-half years left on his current contract.
SuperSport have been on the lookout for attacking reinforcements after struggling to score goals so far this season, having netted just five goals in 13 PSL matches, with only bottom-placed Magesi FC, with a worse record of four.

Matsatsanta have already welcomed Serbian forward Samir Nurkovic and would like to add Saile to their ranks to boost their attack for the second half of the season.
Saile, who joined Chiefs in January 2023, has struggled for game time in the last one year and Chiefs feel the former Nchana Rangers forward has not produced the desired results after six goals in 49 matches.
