Kaizer Chiefs Transfers: Tashreeq Morris contract details revealed

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly offered new signing Tashreeq Morris a two-and-a-half-year contract following his arrival from SuperSport United.

The striker has ditched SuperSport after just three months at the club, having arrived at Matsatsanta in October 2024, with coach Gavin Hunt confirming that he could not stand in his way once a better financial offer was made to him by Chiefs.

Morris had been without a club for months since leaving Sekhukhune and SuperSport offered him a lifeline but after nine matches and scoring two goals the offer from Chiefs proved too good to turn down.

Now, he looks set for a longer career with the Glamour Boys who have taken a chance on him and according to SABC, the club have offered him the two-and-a-half-year contract while Christian Saile moves the other way on loan.

Who else are Chiefs pursuing?

Chiefs have been looking for strikers and wingers in the January transfer window and with Morris’ deal done, they are now reported to have turned their attention to Congolese forward Makabi Glody Lilepo from French second division side Valenciennes.

Amakhosi are reported to have agreed personal terms with the player and are now in negotiations with his club with a view of completing a deal soon.

Another player who has been linked with a move to Chiefs is Polokwane City winger Oswin Appollis, whose future with Rise and Shine is still in doubt, with Orlando Pirates also reported to be interested.
