Kaizer Chiefs have struggled to get a reliable center-forward to finish the many scoring chances the team creates.
At the beginning of the season, Ranga Chivaviro, Wandile Duba, Christian Saile, and Ashley du Preez were the club's focal points. While Duba established himself on the wing, Chivaviro failed to establish himself as the main man. Saile fell out of favour and was loaned to SuperSport United until the end of the ongoing campaign.
Despite Du Preez extending his deal, he has ended up missing some good scoring chances. His inconsistency is a worry for the team's technical team. Tashreeq Morris, who was signed to help get the goals, is out for at least three weeks.
However, new signing Glody Lilepo who joined the team in the January transfer window has been an instant hit. The Congolese has three goals and an assist in the eight games he has played.
Nabi responds to claims Lilepo might be drafted as the team's striker

A section of the fans and some analysts believe Lilepo has what it takes to lead the Glamour Boys' line. In the game against Cape Town City, on Wednesday, that ended goalless, the 27-year-old was always a danger when on and off the ball.
However, coach Nabi is not convinced that is a good idea, “His first position is winger, right or left, he’s a winger, but as a coach, you need to give more chances, offensively, sometimes in France he played second striker for Valenciennes, but it’s not his [natural] position.”
He then explained his tactics on Wednesday, “in the last 20 minutes I wanted to push [Pule] Mmodi as a winger, with more strikers, more players in the final 18 [area], I think you observed that we continued to create more chances, but not score.”
Chiefs will be back in action on Sunday against Richards Bay, a team they beat 2-1 in the initial meeting.
